The fill is in the garage ready to pour the slab.
One course of three that will extend over the porch has been installed. This course also supports the second floor framing.

The second floor timber framing is in place with temporary flooring . This corner is bathroom.

This view is looking forward from bathroom thru closet to bedroom.

This is looking forward from kitchen to living room.

A second delivery from the log supplier arrived Friday 11/21/08. Included were the steel plates to assemble the timber trusses. These need to be grinded, primed, and painted by Monday 11/24/08. Temperatures were 20 to 30 degrees. To do this we used a wire brush on a drill motor, wiped with paint thinner, heated on a gas grill, and spray painted outside. After dark we painted with a roller inside.

There were 56 pieces weighing over 500 pounds. Transporting from the building lot to our rental house, painting and returning to the building lot was a workout.
